Broadway Babies Ages 3-6
This is a wonderful introduction to theatre for your little one who loves to sing and perform all over your home. The class introduces song and movement along with creative thinking games for your little actor to explore acting and performing through pretend. Rhythm, spacial awareness and navigating emotions are all part of this one-of-a-kind class taught by a professionally trained instructor.
Acting / Musical Theatre For Young Kids Ages 4-8
Musical theatre for this particularly energetic age group will comprise of age-appropriate theatre games and play, with an extra emphasis on physical movement, as we introduce the basics of who what where when and how. Students will also learn songs from appropriate musicals and add movement to fully tell the story through song and character. All students will perform in the end-of-year show.
Acting / Musical Theatre For Kids Ages 7-10
Musical Theatre for kids is comprised of singing, movement, and acting fundamentals taught by an instructor with extensive professional experience and university/conservatory training. Students will work on diction, articulation and projection, creative thinking, and through drama games and exercises they will start to understand how to build a character from the inside out. Students will also learn music from an appropriate musical and learn choreography. All students will perform in the end of year show.
Acting / Musical Theatre For Tween Ages 11-14
Musical Theatre for tweens expounds upon the basics of Kids Musical Theatre and takes it to the next level. This class is taught by an instructor with extensive experience and university/conservatory training. The games and exercises become more challenging, as do the music and choreography learned. Teens learn to work as an ensemble and learn important techniques to help contribute to his or her talents in a powerful way. All students will perform in the end of year show.
Acting / Musical Theatre For Teens Ages 13-19
Musical Theatre for teens expounds upon the basics of Tween Acting/ Musical Theatre and takes it to the next level. This class is taught by an instructor with extensive professional experience and graduate training. The games and exercises become even more challenging, as do the music and choreography learned. Students will work on focus and creative thinking and will begin more difficult improvisation work. Teens learn to work as an ensemble and learn important techniques to help contribute to his or her talents in a powerful way. All students will perform in the end of year show.
Broadway Triple Threat Training Ages 13-19
The triple threat class at Stage Artistry Studios brings together the three disciplines of acting, singing and dancing into a unified whole at a faster pace, much like an audition. The emphasis on these classes is to strengthen each of the elements equally, to create a well-rounded Triple Threat Performer. The triple Threat Training classes prepare the students to meet the challenges of college auditions, school musicals, talent shows, and even professional auditions. Tween and Teen Beg/ intermediate to advanced students.
Kid Intro to Triple Threat Training Ages 7-12
The beginner triple threat class at Stage Artistry Studios brings together equal emphasis on acting, singing and dancing, but goes at a slower pace than the teen class. The kids will learn how to marry lyrics with movements. They will learn new short musical numbers every few weeks rather than every week in the faster-paced classes.
Teen Monologue and Scene Study
The monologue class for teens at Stage Artistry Studios is designed for students who want to hone their acting skills and be prepared to showcase their work at auditions for shows or colleges. Students will work with the experienced accredited instructor to find age appropriate monologues from a play. The class will involve memorization tips, script analysis, and working the material in front of the class. The instructor will work with each student to elicit the truest, best performance of the piece. This class is designed for a more advanced level acting student.
Teen Acting - Non-Musical Ages 13-19
The teen acting class at stage artistry studios is designed for students who are interested solely in the acting element of theatre. Students will work with the experienced accredited instructor to make bold and interesting choices and deepen performance skills through a series of exercises and scenes. Physicality, creative thinking exercises and intellect help the student create compelling characters from the inside out.
Song Interpretation Ages 13-19
This class focuses on acting through song. Classes include training in finding clues provided in the music and lyrics of a song to interpret material, then teaches acting techniques and methods for turning that interpretation into an authentic, meaningful, vital performance. This class is particularly useful for the young singer interested in taking their craft to the next level. Limited space available.
Voice Acting Ages 11-18
The voice acting class for kids & teens at SAS is an introduction into the world of voice-overs. This class is great for kids who are interested in creating voices and voicing animation, commercials and even their own video creations. The class consists of a vocal and physical warm-ups, effective breath control instruction, and exercises to create better resonance, articulation and clarity in the actors speaking voice. Students also dive into animation and commercial copy to create their own unique characters that they can record in our in-house recording studio.
Beginning Singing Ages 7-10
This group class teaches the fundamentals of good singing while in a group setting. Students will learn basic technique, breathing for singing, and build confidence in their singing ability in a no-pressure, fun supportive environment. A wonderful introduction to vocal lessons. This class is also an add-on for Kids Acting/Musical Theatre Students. Students will perform in voice recital.
